Experience Matters.

I've lived in Kohala for more than 26 years and I know how important it is for the community to work together.  The reason I am running for re-election is to continue to effectuate change by drawing on my leadership experience.  At the Hawai'i State Legislature I rose to the position of Majority Leader.  Governor Josh Green and Lt. Governor Sylvia Luke, US Senator Brian Schatz, and Congresswoman Jill Tokuda served with me during my years serving as State Representative.  I know how to build consensus, work together with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and businesses to get results.

Our Future

During the last two years all of us were impacted by rules and restrictions and the isolation for many was financially and emotionally devastating. Now what?  We are in the midst of change brought about by new technologies, rising cost of living, shortage of housing options, climate impacts, and inadequate infrastructure. Collective wisdom to find solutions will create job opportunities, small businesses, a thriving economy, and hope for our children.  We can do this "FORWARD, TOGETHER".
